Website design, UK

Website design for UK organisations, built on WordPress

We design websites that explain clearly what a UK organisation does and make it easy for the right people to get in touch. Every design is built as a custom WordPress theme that your team can update with confidence.

Overview

Website Design for organisations in the United Kingdom.

Good website design starts before anyone opens a design tool. We begin with discovery: who visits, what they need to find, which actions matter to you, and what is holding the current site back. That gives every later decision, from page structure to button wording, a reason behind it.

Our designers and developers work in one team from Nigeria, remotely, for clients in the UK and elsewhere. Because our working day lines up with yours, design reviews happen in your office hours, and feedback rounds move quickly rather than waiting overnight.

In detail

Website Design in the United Kingdom, in detail.

01

Designed for how UK visitors judge a business

UK buyers tend to check credibility quickly: who you are, where you operate, who you have worked with, and how to reach a real person. We design pages that answer those questions early, with clear service pages, honest case studies and contact routes that suit your team. For professional services, that usually means fewer, stronger pages rather than a long menu of thin ones, which also helps search engines understand what you do.

02

Accessibility as part of the design

Accessibility is easier to design in than to patch later. We work towards WCAG 2.2 level AA, the standard UK public sector sites must meet, even for private clients: readable contrast, sensible heading order, keyboard-friendly menus and forms with proper labels. If you are a public body, a school or a charity delivering public services, we also help you prepare the accessibility statement that the regulations expect.

03

Consent banners that respect the rules

Many UK sites still show a cookie banner while setting tracking cookies in the background. Under PECR, non-essential cookies need active consent before they are set. We design a banner that is clear and quick to use, then make sure the technical setup behind it really waits for the visitor's choice. Where your analytics qualifies for the ICO's statistical purposes exception, we show visitors the information and opt-out it requires.

04

From approved design to working theme

Once you approve the designs, the same team builds them as a custom WordPress theme using the block editor, so the site matches what you signed off. Layouts are built from reusable patterns your staff can rearrange without breaking the design. We train your editors on a call during UK hours and leave written notes, so updates do not depend on us.

05

What a design project costs

Strategy and design projects start from $1,500. The final figure depends on the number of page templates, how much content we help shape, and any special features. We work in US dollars and can discuss a GBP quote if you prefer. You receive a written scope before anything begins. Typical extras that change the price are a multilingual layout, a resource library with filters, or an events listing, and we price each one openly so you can choose what to include in the first release.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Can you design a website without meeting in person?

Yes, that is how we work with every UK client. Discovery, design reviews and training happen on video calls, and designs are shared as links you can comment on. Our team is on the same time as the UK during British Summer Time and one hour ahead in winter, so calls fit your working day.

Will we be able to edit the site ourselves?

Yes. We build with the WordPress block editor and reusable patterns, so your team can add pages, news and case studies without code. We lock the parts that should not change, such as headers and brand styles, and give you a short written guide alongside the training call.

Do you write the content?

We shape the structure and key messages with you and can write page headings and calls to action. Detailed copy about your services is usually best written by your team, who know them best. If content is a gap, tell us early so the scope and timeline reflect it.

How long does a website design project take?

It depends on the number of templates and how quickly content and feedback arrive. A focused corporate site moves faster than a site with many page types. We agree a timeline in the written scope, with review points, so you always know what is next.

Will our new design be accessible?

We design and build to WCAG 2.2 level AA and test key journeys with a keyboard and automated checks. Accessibility also depends on content added later, such as image descriptions and link text, so we show your editors how to keep it accessible.
