Overview

A specialist WordPress team for Ghana.

Most organisations in Ghana that come to us already know what they want a website to do: take mobile money, register students, publish news, or let staff log in and get work done. What they need is a partner who understands WordPress deeply and treats the details of the Ghanaian market as part of the brief rather than an afterthought.

We are a specialist WordPress agency, part of Digitalzooks, founded in 2020 and based in Nigeria. We work with organisations across Africa, the UK and the USA. Our team works remotely from Nigeria with organisations across Africa, the UK and the USA. What we can show you is the work our team has delivered for clients with very similar needs, and a clear written scope before anything is built.

In detail

Built for Ghana.

01

Built around how Ghanaians pay online

A Ghanaian checkout that only accepts cards leaves money on the table. Customers expect to pay with MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash or AirtelTigo Money, and gateways such as Paystack and Flutterwave bring all three into one checkout alongside cards. Mobile money payments are approved on the customer's phone with an OTP and PIN, so we design the order flow to wait gracefully while that happens and to confirm clearly when it succeeds. Since the E-Levy was repealed in April 2025, mobile money transfers no longer carry that 1% charge, which removes one reason customers once hesitated.

02

Data protection under Act 843

Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) is enforced by the Data Protection Commission, and the Commission states that all data controllers and processors must register with it. If your website collects enquiries, applications, customer accounts or orders, you are processing personal data. We build forms and accounts that collect only what you need, add clear consent and privacy wording, secure the database, and give you a written record of what the site stores and where, which makes your own registration and renewal with the Commission far simpler.

03

Working hours that actually overlap

Ghana keeps Greenwich Mean Time all year with no daylight saving, and Lagos is one hour ahead. In practice that means a 9am call in Accra is 10am for us, and the whole working day overlaps. Workshops, reviews and launch days happen live rather than by overnight email. For organisations that also report to partners in London, the clocks in Accra and the UK match through the British winter, which makes three-way calls easy to schedule.

04

Your domain on .com.gh

Many Ghanaian organisations want the local signal of a .gh address. Business names sit under second-level labels such as .com.gh, schools under .edu.gh, and the registry is the Ghana Network Information Center. Eligibility rules are stricter than for a .com, with a Ghana-registered company and a local administrator reported as requirements. We help you plan the domain early, point it correctly at your hosting, set up professional email on it, and keep a .com as a redirect if you already own one.

05

What we build for Ghanaian organisations

Our work covers the full WordPress lifecycle. Strategy and design projects include discovery, new websites, redesigns, portals, dashboards and landing pages. Development covers custom themes and plugins, WooCommerce shops, learning and membership platforms, and integrations with the tools you already use. We migrate sites from other platforms and hosts, and our managed services keep sites fast, secure and visible in search and AI answers. Every engagement starts with a written scope so you know exactly what you are paying for.

We do not yet have a client in Ghana, so here is work built by our team for organisations with Ghanaian-style needs: high-volume ticketing, multi-currency online learning and a recruitment portal.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do you have an office in Ghana?

No. Our team is based in Nigeria and we work with Ghanaian organisations remotely. Because Accra is only one hour behind Lagos, we hold workshops, reviews and support calls live within your normal working day. Many of our clients across Africa, the UK and the USA work with us this way, and we keep every decision in writing so nothing depends on being in the same room.

Can our website accept MTN MoMo and other mobile money?

Yes. We integrate gateways that operate in Ghana, such as Paystack and Flutterwave, which accept MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash and AirtelTigo Money alongside cards. Your business opens its own merchant account with the gateway, and we connect it to your site, test real payment journeys, and make sure orders and receipts update correctly once the customer approves the payment on their phone.

Do we need to register with the Data Protection Commission?

The Commission states that all data controllers and processors must register with it, so most organisations collecting personal data through a website will need to. Registration is your responsibility and we are not lawyers, but we make it easier: we document exactly what data your site collects, why, and where it is stored, and we build consent and privacy wording into the forms.

Do you invoice in US dollars or cedis?

Our prices are set and quoted in US dollars, starting from $1,500 for strategy and design work and $5,000 for development. If your finance team needs to pay from a cedi account, tell us at the start and we will agree a workable payment route during scoping, so the arrangement is settled in writing before work begins.

Can you register our .com.gh domain?

We guide the process and handle the technical setup, but the domain should be registered in your organisation's name through an accredited .gh registrar, since reported rules require a Ghana-registered company and a local administrator. Once it is registered, we connect it to hosting, configure email and security records, and document everything for your team.

How does a project with us start?

It starts with a short call to understand your goals, audience and deadlines. We then send a written scope with deliverables, timeline and a fixed price. Once you approve it, we run a discovery workshop, agree the structure and design direction, and build in stages you can review. Nothing is billed outside the written scope without your agreement.
