Overview

A specialist WordPress team for Nigeria.

Most Nigerian businesses do not need another agency that can make a homepage look good in a pitch. They need a website that loads on a phone in traffic, takes payment the way their customers actually pay, keeps personal data on the right side of the law and keeps working long after launch. That is the work we do, and WordPress is the only platform we do it on.

Because our team lives and works here, we know the context without having to research it: naira pricing, bank transfer at checkout, a customer base that is overwhelmingly on mobile data, and the questions a compliance officer now asks about consent forms. You get a WordPress partner that understands the market and builds to the standard our UK and US clients expect.

In detail

Built for Nigeria.

01

Why WordPress, and why a specialist

WordPress gives Nigerian organisations something proprietary builders rarely do: you own the site, you can move host whenever you like, and there is a deep pool of local talent who can work on it in future. The catch is that a WordPress site is only as good as the people who build it. We do nothing else, so our themes are custom, our plugin choices are deliberate, and we write our own code when an off-the-shelf plugin would add weight or risk. We even maintain our own plugins, emailfooter and the Bizy suite, so we know the platform from the inside.

02

Payments that match how Nigerians pay

Cards are only part of the picture in Nigeria. Paystack and Flutterwave both let customers pay by bank transfer into an account number generated at checkout, by USSD short code with no data connection, or by Visa, Mastercard and Verve cards. We set up the channels that suit your customers, connect them to WooCommerce or a custom form, and make sure orders confirm automatically when the gateway reports success, so nobody on your team is matching transfer receipts by hand at the end of the day.

03

Built for the Nigeria Data Protection Act

The Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and the Nigeria Data Protection Commission have changed what a contact form or sign-up page needs. Personal data needs a lawful basis such as consent, people should be told what happens to their information, and a reportable breach must be notified to the NDPC within 72 hours. We build clear consent capture, a privacy notice your lawyer can adapt, sensible data retention and hardened logins, so your site supports compliance instead of creating a problem for your data protection officer.

04

Fast on mobile data, not just office Wi-Fi

Nigeria comes online through mobile networks, and your visitors pay for every megabyte. We design mobile first, compress and lazy-load images, keep scripts to what the page truly needs and choose hosting close to your audience through our partners Cloudways and Hostinger. The result is a site that feels quick on a mid-range Android phone, which is where most of your enquiries and sales will actually start.

05

Proof from projects delivered here

Our Nigeria team has built a boot camp registration platform for the Federal Ministry of Education with PLANE-FCDO, a recruitment portal and HR dashboard for ASEP Logistics, a virtual learning environment for Alvina Schools and the ticketing system Technext Events used to sell and scan more than 10,000 tickets with QR check-in. These are working systems used by Nigerians every day, which is the standard we bring to your project.

06

What working with us looks like

Every engagement starts with a conversation and ends up as a written scope: what we will build, what it costs, what you need to provide and when each stage lands. You work directly with the people doing the work, in your own time zone, with no handover to an offshore subcontractor. After launch we can stay on through Managed Services, keeping WordPress, plugins, payment integrations and backups current so the site stays healthy.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Are you actually based in Nigeria?

Yes. Our team is based in Nigeria and has been building WordPress sites as part of Digitalzooks since 2020. We work remotely by default, with video calls, shared project boards and written updates, which is also how we serve clients in the UK and the USA. Where an in-person session genuinely helps, we can discuss it during scoping.

Can my website take payment in naira by bank transfer?

Yes. Through Paystack or Flutterwave your customers can pay in naira by card, by bank transfer to an account number generated at checkout, or by USSD. The gateway confirms the payment and your order or registration updates automatically. We help you choose the gateway, set it up in test mode first and switch it live once everything has been checked.

Do you build sites that comply with the Nigeria Data Protection Act?

We build the technical side: consent checkboxes that record what someone agreed to, privacy notice placement, secure forms, limited data collection and protected admin access. Compliance itself also depends on your policies and processes, so we recommend your legal adviser or data protection officer reviews the wording. We will make whatever changes they ask for.

Should I use a .ng or .com.ng domain?

A .com.ng address signals a Nigerian business clearly and is a common choice for local firms, while .ng is shorter and suits a brand that wants a compact local name. Many organisations register both, or pair one with a .com. Registration goes through registrars accredited by NiRA, the .ng registry, and we can handle setup and DNS for you.

How much does a website cost with WPFlat?

Strategy and design projects start from $1,500, development projects from $5,000, migrations from $1,000 and Managed Services from $2,000 per year. The right figure depends on what your site must do, so every project is priced in a written scope after a discovery conversation. Our cost guide for Nigeria explains what moves the number.

How does a project with you start?

Send us a short note about your organisation and what the website needs to achieve. We arrange a discovery call, ask about your audience, payments, content and deadlines, then send a written scope with deliverables, timeline and price. Work begins once you approve it, and you see designs before any development starts.
