WordPress websites and portals for Abuja organisations

Overview

A specialist WordPress team for Abuja.

Websites in the capital often carry more weight than a typical company site. They publish official information, run applications and registrations, report on funded programmes and collect personal data from members of the public. Mistakes are visible, and stakeholders, funders and auditors notice.

Our Nigeria-based team has built exactly this kind of work, including a boot camp registration platform for the Federal Ministry of Education with PLANE-FCDO. We bring the same care to agencies, NGOs, professional bodies and the consultancies that work alongside them, working remotely and documenting decisions as we go.

In detail

Built for Abuja.

01

Registration and application platforms

Many Abuja projects revolve around a window when people apply, register or submit documents. We build WordPress registration systems with applicant accounts, eligibility questions, uploads, confirmation emails and review screens for staff. Reports can be exported for programme managers and funders. The Federal Ministry of Education boot camp platform we delivered with PLANE-FCDO is an example of this work in practice.

02

Data protection that stands up to review

Public-facing programmes collect personal data at scale, often from people who have no choice but to apply online. Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, processing needs a lawful basis, people should know how their data is used, and reportable breaches must be notified within 72 hours. We build clear consent steps, role-based access, limited data collection and secure exports, and we document the setup for your data protection officer.

03

Accessible and readable for the public

Government and NGO sites serve everyone, including people on older phones, with limited data or with visual impairments. We follow accessibility good practice for contrast, headings, alt text and keyboard use, write plain-language labels on forms and keep pages light. Content editors get a structure that encourages clear writing rather than long, unbroken announcements. That helps both your audience and your search visibility.

04

Documentation for funders and procurement

Development partners and procurement teams expect paperwork. Every project starts with a written scope covering deliverables, timeline and price, and we provide documentation of the site's structure, plugins, hosting and access at handover. Ownership of the domain, hosting and code sits with your organisation, which makes audits and future transitions straightforward. Progress updates can be shared in whatever format your reporting cycle needs.

05

Payments for fees and dues

Associations, schools and training programmes in Abuja often collect registration fees, dues or course payments. We integrate Paystack or Flutterwave so payers can use cards, bank transfer or USSD in naira, with each payment linked automatically to the right applicant or member record. Paystack also publishes reduced card rates for educational institutions, which is worth checking if that applies to you.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do you have an office in Abuja?

We do not advertise an Abuja office. Our team is based in Nigeria and works remotely, with video calls for discovery, reviews and training and written records of every decision. Where an in-person session is genuinely needed for a programme, we can discuss it during scoping.

Can you work with government agencies and development partners?

Yes. We built the boot camp registration platform for the Federal Ministry of Education with PLANE-FCDO. We are used to written scopes, stakeholder reviews, documentation and the reporting that funded programmes require. That experience shapes how we plan timelines, handle approvals from several stakeholders and prepare the evidence a programme lead needs for reporting.

How do you protect applicant data on a registration portal?

We collect only what the programme needs, restrict who can view records by role, secure logins and connections, and make exports controlled. Consent and privacy notice wording are built into the forms. We recommend your legal adviser or data protection officer reviews the final setup against the NDPA.

Can the site handle a surge when registration opens?

We plan hosting for peak periods, not just ordinary days. With our partner Cloudways, server resources can be increased ahead of a registration window and scaled back afterwards. We also test forms and payment flows under realistic conditions before launch.

Who owns the website when the programme ends?

Your organisation does. Domain, hosting and code are registered to you, and we provide documentation and full access at handover. If the programme moves to another team, they can pick it up without depending on us. We can also stay on to maintain it if the new team prefers.

How does a project with an Abuja organisation start?

Send us a summary of the programme or organisation and what the site must do. We hold a discovery call with your key stakeholders, then send a written scope with deliverables, timeline and price. Strategy and Design starts from $1,500 and development from $5,000.
