Web applications, Nigeria

Web applications for Nigerian organisations, built on WordPress

Recruitment portals, registration systems, ticketing and staff dashboards are web applications, and we build them on WordPress. You get custom software without starting from a blank codebase.

Overview

Web Application Development for organisations in Nigeria.

Many Nigerian organisations run important processes on spreadsheets, email threads and WhatsApp groups. It works until volume grows, a key person is away or an auditor asks for a record nobody can find. A web application gives that process a single home, with accounts, rules, status updates and reports.

Building on WordPress means user management, security updates, an admin area and a large ecosystem are already in place. We spend your budget on the logic that is specific to you, not on rebuilding login screens.

In detail

Web Application Development in Nigeria, in detail.

01

Portals with accounts and roles

A portal lets different people see different things. Applicants submit and track their application, reviewers score them, managers approve and administrators export reports. We design each role's screens and permissions carefully, because a portal that shows the wrong data to the wrong person is worse than no portal at all. ASEP Logistics uses a recruitment portal and HR dashboard we built in exactly this way.

02

Workflows that replace manual follow-up

Most workflows follow a pattern: something is submitted, checked, approved or rejected, and someone is notified. We turn your process into states and rules so the system moves each item along and sends the right email or SMS at each step. The Federal Ministry of Education boot camp platform we delivered with PLANE-FCDO handled registrations and session planning this way.

03

Dashboards for decisions

Managers want answers, not exports. We build dashboards that show the numbers your team checks every week, such as applications by stage, tickets sold, payments received or staff headcount, filtered by date or location. Data can still be exported to Excel for finance or funders, but the everyday questions are answered on screen in seconds. Each role sees only the figures it is allowed to see.

04

Payments inside the workflow

When a step involves money, such as an application fee, a ticket or a subscription, we build Paystack or Flutterwave into the flow so card, transfer and USSD payments update the record automatically. Technext Events sold and scanned more than 10,000 tickets this way, with QR codes checked at the door. Failed and refunded payments are logged so finance can reconcile without guesswork.

05

Security and data protection by design

Web applications usually hold far more personal data than a marketing site. The Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 requires a lawful basis and appropriate security, and the NDPC expects breach notice within 72 hours where it applies. We restrict access by role, log sensitive actions, encrypt connections, collect only what the process needs and build export and deletion tools for data requests.

Our work

Platforms we have built.

Three web applications our Nigeria team built on WordPress: a recruitment portal and HR dashboard, a ministry boot camp registration platform and an event ticketing system with QR check-in.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Why build a web application on WordPress?

WordPress already provides user accounts, roles, an admin area, a security update process and a large pool of developers. Building on it means your budget goes into your specific logic. When a requirement falls outside what WordPress handles well, we say so during discovery.

Can the application work on phones?

Yes. Everything we build is responsive and tested on mid-range Android phones, because that is how many Nigerian applicants, customers and field staff will use it. Screens are designed for slow connections too. We do not build native app store apps, but a well-built web application covers most of what organisations need.

Can it connect to our existing software?

Usually. We integrate with CRMs, HR and accounting tools, SMS gateways and email platforms through their APIs. Each integration is listed in the scope, with what data moves where, how often it syncs and what happens if the other service is unavailable.

Who owns the software?

You do. Custom code written for your project is yours once paid for and lives in your hosting account, with documentation so another developer could maintain it. You also keep the domain, hosting and data, all registered to your organisation rather than to us.

How much does web application development cost?

Development projects start from $5,000. Applications vary widely, so the price depends on roles, workflows, integrations and reporting. We agree a written scope and fixed price after discovery, and any later additions are quoted before work on them starts.
