WordPress development, Nigeria

Web development in Nigeria, from custom plugins to full portals

When a brochure site is not enough, we build WordPress into the system your organisation runs on. Registrations, recruitment, learning, ticketing and payments are all work our Nigeria team has shipped.

Overview

Web Development for organisations in Nigeria.

Nigerian organisations often outgrow their first website quickly. A form becomes an application process, a price list becomes an online store, a training programme needs logins and certificates. We are WordPress developers who build those systems properly, with custom code where it matters and well-supported plugins where they are the sensible choice.

Our development work is planned in writing, tested in a staging copy before it goes live and documented so another competent WordPress developer could pick it up. That last point matters: we want you to stay because the work is good, not because nobody else can understand it.

In detail

Web Development in Nigeria, in detail.

01

Custom themes and plugins

We build bespoke WordPress themes on the block editor so your team can edit pages without breaking the layout. When a feature needs logic that no existing plugin handles cleanly, we write a custom plugin rather than stacking five add-ons together. That keeps the site lighter on Nigerian mobile connections and reduces the number of third-party updates that can go wrong.

02

Portals, dashboards and workflows

We have built a recruitment portal and HR dashboard for ASEP Logistics and a registration platform for a Federal Ministry of Education boot camp with PLANE-FCDO. Both involved applicant accounts, staff review screens, status emails and exportable data. If your process currently lives in spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups, we can turn it into a structured workflow that your staff can manage from one place.

03

Payment integrations for the Nigerian market

Development work here nearly always touches payments. We integrate Paystack and Flutterwave so customers can pay in naira by card, bank transfer or USSD, and we handle the webhook that confirms payment so records update without manual checking. Where you also sell abroad, we have built multi-currency payments before: the BFI School platform accepts NGN, USD, GBP and EUR. Refunds and failed payments are logged clearly too.

04

Personal data handled with care

Custom systems usually store more personal data than a simple website, from CVs to student records. Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, that data needs a lawful basis and appropriate security, and a reportable breach must reach the NDPC within 72 hours. We restrict access by role, avoid collecting fields you do not need, keep logs where useful and make export and deletion straightforward when someone asks.

05

Integrations and learning platforms

We connect WordPress to the tools you already use, such as CRMs, email marketing platforms, accounting software and SMS providers. We also build learning and membership platforms with course access, progress tracking and certificates, as we did for Alvina Schools and BFI School. Each integration is scoped in writing so you know exactly what data moves where. We also plan what happens if a connected service is unavailable.

These projects show the range of systems our Nigeria team has developed in WordPress: a government registration platform, a recruitment portal and a multi-currency online school.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Is WordPress strong enough for a portal or web application?

For most Nigerian organisations, yes. WordPress handles user accounts, custom data, roles and payments well when it is built properly. We have delivered recruitment, registration, learning and ticketing systems on it. If your needs truly fall outside what WordPress does well, we will say so during discovery rather than force it.

Do I own the code you write?

Yes. Custom themes and plugins we write for your project are yours once the project is paid for, and they live in your hosting account. We document them so another developer could maintain them. Our own products such as emailfooter and the Bizy suite remain ours but can be used on your site.

Can you integrate Paystack and Flutterwave on the same site?

Yes, and some Nigerian businesses prefer to offer both or keep one as a fallback. We configure each gateway's channels, test in sandbox mode, handle webhooks so payments confirm automatically and make sure refunds and failed payments are recorded clearly for your accounts team.

How do you test before launch?

Everything is built on a staging copy that is not visible to the public. We test on real Android and iOS phones, run payment tests in gateway test mode, check forms and emails and ask your team to complete the key tasks themselves. Launch happens only after you sign off.

How is a development project priced?

Development projects start from $5,000 per project. The final price depends on features, integrations and the amount of custom code. We agree a fixed scope and price in writing, and any later additions are quoted separately before work on them begins.

Can you take over a site another developer built?

Usually, yes. We start with an audit of the code, plugins and hosting so we know what we are inheriting, then give you an honest report with risks and options. Some sites need a tidy-up; a few are better rebuilt.
