Website redesign, Nigeria

Redesign your website without losing the traffic it already earns

A redesign should fix what holds your site back and protect what already works. We audit first, keep the pages that bring enquiries, and rebuild on WordPress at the same address so customers and search engines follow you.

Overview

Website Redesign for organisations in Nigeria.

Nigerian companies usually ask for a redesign for one of a few reasons: the site looks dated next to competitors, it is painfully slow on a phone, nobody in the office can update it, or the business has changed and the old pages no longer describe it. All of those are fixable. The mistake is to throw everything away and start again without checking what the old site was quietly doing well.

Our process puts evidence before opinions. We read your analytics and search data, talk to the people who answer enquiries, and only then decide what stays, what changes and what goes.

In detail

Website Redesign in Nigeria, in detail.

01

Start with an audit, not a mood board

We review which pages attract visitors from search, which ones produce calls, WhatsApp messages or form submissions, and where people give up. We also check speed on a mid-range Android phone, accessibility, plugin health and who controls the domain and hosting. The audit becomes a short written report with recommendations, so your management team can agree the direction of the redesign before money goes into new designs.

02

Keeping your search visibility

A redesign that changes addresses without a plan can wipe out years of search visibility overnight. We map every old URL to its new home and set permanent redirects, keep titles and headings for pages that already rank, carry across structured data and resubmit the sitemap after launch. Then we watch Search Console in the weeks after go-live and fix any errors that appear, rather than discovering a drop months later.

03

Same domain, better foundations

Your .com.ng or .ng address carries trust with customers and history with search engines, so we rebuild behind it rather than moving you elsewhere. The new site is built on a staging copy while the old one stays live. When everything is approved, we switch over at a quiet time agreed with you, with a backup of the old site kept in case anything needs to be checked afterwards.

04

Payments and forms brought up to date

Older Nigerian sites often carry payment plugins that predate pay-by-transfer and USSD, or forms that collect far more than they need. A redesign is the right moment to fix both. We connect a current Paystack or Flutterwave integration with the channels your customers use, and rebuild forms with clear consent and a privacy notice link in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

05

Lighter pages for mobile data

Redesigns we take on are frequently slowed by oversized sliders, unused plugins and images uploaded straight from a camera. Since nearly all Nigerian internet subscriptions run over mobile networks, we treat page weight as a design constraint. We remove what nobody uses, compress media, simplify navigation and test the result on real phones before calling the redesign finished. Faster pages tend to keep more visitors, which is often the quickest win a redesign delivers.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Will a redesign hurt our Google rankings?

It can if redirects and content are handled carelessly. We map every old address to a new one, keep strong pages intact and monitor Search Console after launch. Some movement in the first weeks is normal, but a planned redesign should not cost you the visibility you have built.

Can you redesign a site that is not on WordPress?

Yes. We often move Nigerian organisations from Wix, Joomla or a hand-coded site onto WordPress as part of a redesign. That adds migration work for content and redirects, which we include in the written scope so the price reflects the full job.

Do we keep our current domain and email?

Yes. The redesign happens on a staging copy, then we point your existing domain at the new site. Email records are left alone unless you ask us to change them, so mailboxes keep working throughout the switch. If the domain is registered in a former supplier's name, we help you recover control first.

How long does a redesign take?

That depends on the number of templates, the content to move and how quickly your team gives feedback. We set dates for the audit, design, build and launch in the written scope, and flag early if any of them is at risk.

What does a website redesign cost?

Strategy and Design projects start from $1,500, and redesigns that need significant new functionality are scoped as development from $5,000. Moving from another platform is quoted as a migration from $1,000. You receive one written scope covering all of it.
