Managed WordPress hosting for Nigerian websites

Overview

Web Hosting for organisations in Nigeria.

Searching for web hosting in Nigeria brings up a long list of shared hosting plans, and many look identical. The plan matters less than what happens after you buy it: who sets up caching, who renews the SSL certificate, who notices when the server is struggling, and who restores the site if something breaks.

Our managed hosting answers those questions. We choose a suitable plan and server location with our partners, configure WordPress properly and keep watching it as part of Managed Services, so you deal with one WordPress team rather than a hosting support queue.

In detail

Web Hosting in Nigeria, in detail.

01

Server location and latency

Distance adds delay, and Nigerian visitors on mobile networks feel it. Cloudways lets us choose from several cloud providers and regions, and Hostinger offers its own data centre options. We pick the location that gives your audience the quickest response while keeping uptime and support strong, and we add caching and a content delivery network where it helps visitors in other parts of Nigeria or abroad.

02

.ng and .com.ng domains handled for you

The .ng country domain is managed by the Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NiRA), with names sold through accredited registrars. Businesses often choose .com.ng, while .ng gives a shorter local name. We help you register or transfer the right domain, point it at your hosting, set up SSL and keep track of renewal dates so your address never expires unnoticed. The domain is always registered in your name.

03

Data protection and where data lives

Your hosting holds every form submission, order and account on your site. The Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 expects personal data to be protected with appropriate security, and the NDPC oversees how it is handled. We document where your server sits, keep access limited, encrypt connections and maintain backups, so your data protection officer can answer questions about storage clearly. Check any specific transfer requirements with your adviser.

04

Business email on your own domain

An address at your own .com.ng domain looks more credible than a free webmail account, and it keeps company email under company control. We set up mailboxes and the DNS records that help messages reach inboxes rather than spam folders. Our free emailfooter plugin can also give your team consistent email signatures. If you already use Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, we connect your domain to it correctly instead.

05

Hosting that is actually managed

Every hosted site gets backups, security monitoring, uptime checks and updates as part of Managed Services. When traffic grows, for example during a ticket launch or a school registration window, we can scale resources on Cloudways rather than waiting for the site to fall over. You get one invoice for the service and one team to call. If you ever want to move, we hand everything over cleanly.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Are you a hosting company?

No. We are a WordPress agency that provides managed hosting through our partners Cloudways and Hostinger. They run the infrastructure; we set it up for WordPress, monitor it, update it and support you. That gives you dependable infrastructure and a specialist team in one service.

Is my site hosted inside Nigeria?

Not necessarily. We choose the server location that serves your visitors best from the regions our partners offer, and we tell you where it is. If you have a legal or contractual reason to keep data in a particular place, raise it at the start so we can plan around it.

Can you move my site from my current Nigerian host?

Yes. Hosting migrations are one of our services, starting from $1,000 per migration. We copy the site, test it on the new server, plan the DNS switch for a quiet time and keep the old host in place until everything is confirmed working.

Do you register .com.ng domains?

We handle the process for you through an accredited registrar, or work with a domain you already hold. The domain is registered in your organisation's name, not ours, so you always keep control of it. We also note renewal dates in your maintenance records so the domain is never allowed to lapse by accident.

How much does managed hosting cost?

Managed Services start from $2,000 per year, covering hosting management, maintenance and security. The exact figure depends on server size and the level of care you need. Hosting itself can be billed through us or directly to you by the partner, which we agree in writing.

What happens if my site goes down?

Our monitoring alerts us, and because we are in the same time zone as you, someone is usually looking at it during working hours before you call. We find the cause, fix or restore it and tell you what happened.
