Website design, Nigeria

Website design for Nigerian organisations that need results, not decoration

We design WordPress websites around the people who will use them, and in Nigeria that usually means someone on a phone with limited data and little patience. Every design starts with discovery and ends with a site your team can run.

Overview

Website Design for organisations in Nigeria.

A good design is not a template with your logo swapped in. It is a set of decisions about what visitors need to see first, what you want them to do next and what will make them trust you enough to do it. We make those decisions with you during discovery, test them on real phones and only then move into build.

For Nigerian audiences that means some specific choices: prices shown clearly in naira, a WhatsApp or call button where your customers expect one, payment steps that look familiar, and pages that stay usable when the network drops to a slower signal.

In detail

Website Design in Nigeria, in detail.

01

Discovery before pixels

We start with a workshop covering your audience, your services, the questions customers ask before they buy and what success looks like for the site. From that we produce a sitemap and wireframes so the structure is agreed before anyone argues about colours. For Nigerian organisations with several decision makers this step saves weeks, because everyone signs off the same plan in writing rather than reacting to finished designs one by one.

02

Designed for the phone in your customer's hand

Mobile networks carry almost every internet subscription in Nigeria, according to figures from the Nigerian Communications Commission. We therefore design the phone layout first and treat desktop as the larger version. Navigation stays short, tap targets are generous, images are sized for small screens and decorative video is used sparingly. A design that respects your visitor's data bundle is a design they will come back to.

03

Trust signals that work locally

Nigerian buyers are careful online, and with good reason. We design pages that answer the trust question early: who you are, real photographs of your team or premises, a registered business name, clear contact routes and visible payment logos for Paystack or Flutterwave where you sell online. Testimonials and case studies are placed where doubt appears, not hidden on a page nobody visits.

04

Forms and consent done properly

Every enquiry, booking or newsletter form collects personal data, and the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 expects a lawful basis such as consent. We design forms that ask only for what you need, explain why, link to your privacy notice and record consent clearly. Your data protection officer gets something easy to approve, and your visitors get a form that feels respectful rather than intrusive.

05

Redesigns without losing what works

Many Nigerian businesses already have a site that ranks for something or brings in steady enquiries. Before we redesign, we review analytics and search data so pages that perform are kept, improved and redirected properly rather than deleted. Landing pages for campaigns, portals and dashboards for members or staff can be designed in the same system so the whole experience feels consistent.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

How long does website design take in Nigeria?

It depends on the number of templates and how quickly feedback comes back. A focused company site moves faster than a portal with logged-in areas. We set a timeline in the written scope, with dates for wireframes, designs and sign-off, and we tell you early if anything on our side or yours puts it at risk.

Will I see the design before you build it?

Yes. You approve wireframes first, then full visual designs for each key template on both phone and desktop. Development only starts once you have signed off. Changes are far cheaper at design stage, so we encourage every stakeholder on your side to comment during that window.

Can you design around my existing brand?

Yes. If you have brand guidelines we work within them. If your brand is just a logo and a colour, we extend it into a small web style guide covering type, colour, buttons and imagery, so future pages and campaigns stay consistent.

Do you add WhatsApp buttons to Nigerian sites?

Where your customers prefer it, yes. Many Nigerian businesses take enquiries mostly through WhatsApp, so we can place a click-to-chat button alongside calls and forms. We make sure it does not slow the page and that any chat widget respects your privacy notice.

How do we work together if you are remote?

Our team is in Nigeria, so we share your working hours. Design reviews happen on video calls with shared prototypes you can open on your own phone, and every decision is written down. That mix of live calls and a clear written record keeps the project moving even when your team is busy.

What does website design cost?

Strategy and Design projects start from $1,500 per project. The final price depends on the number of templates, research needed and whether the design covers logged-in areas. You get a written scope with a fixed price before work begins. If the site later needs development work, that is scoped separately.
