Overview

WordPress Developers for organisations in Sweden.

Searching for a WordPress developer usually means something specific needs doing: a theme that has grown messy, a plugin that no longer fits, a WooCommerce shop that needs Swish, or a site nobody in-house fully understands. A good freelancer can solve one of those. A team can solve all of them and still be there next year.

We are a specialist WordPress agency whose team works remotely from Nigeria, with hours that line up with Swedish office time. Every engagement is scoped in writing, and the code is yours once paid.

In detail

WordPress Developers in Sweden, in detail.

01

A team rather than a single freelancer

Freelancers can be excellent, but one person means one point of failure: holidays, illness or a better-paid project can leave your site unattended. With us, more than one developer knows your codebase, code is reviewed before release, and documentation is written as part of the job. You also get design, accessibility and hosting skills in the same team, so a change that touches several areas does not require several suppliers.

02

What our developers build

Our work covers custom block themes, plugins written for a particular process, WooCommerce stores, membership and learning platforms, and integrations with external systems through their APIs. For Swedish projects that often means Stripe payments with Swish and Klarna, bilingual Swedish and English content structures, and cookie consent that actually blocks scripts until visitors agree. We also build and maintain our own plugins, emailfooter and the Bizy suite.

03

Standards we write to

We follow WordPress coding standards, escape and sanitise every input, and build front ends to WCAG 2.1 AA as standard. That matters in Sweden, where the Accessibility Act has covered e-commerce since June 2025 and public bodies answer to the DOS law. Personal data in custom code is limited to what is needed and protected by role, in line with the GDPR and IMY guidance.

04

Working hours and communication

In winter our clock matches Stockholm exactly; in summer Sweden is one hour ahead. Your developers are online through your working day, join calls with your team, and respond in your project channel. We work in English and keep a written log of decisions, so nothing depends on someone remembering a conversation. Larger decisions are confirmed in writing after each call, and you always know who on our side is responsible for each task.

05

Engagement and pricing

Most clients start with a defined project, priced from $5,000 under Development. Ongoing development and support can continue under Managed Services, from $2,000 per year, or under a growth retainer for regular new work. Quotes and invoices are in USD with a kronor reference on request, and payments follow agreed milestones. There are no hidden hourly charges: anything outside the agreed scope is quoted and approved before we start it.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Can we hire one of your developers full time?

We work as a team on scoped projects and retainers rather than placing individual developers on staff. In practice, a retainer gives you a consistent group of developers who know your site, with cover when someone is away, which is usually what clients are after.

Can you take over a site from another developer?

Yes. We begin with an audit of the code, plugins, hosting and access, then explain what we found and what we recommend. Sometimes a site needs tidying before it can be safely maintained; that work is scoped separately and agreed with you first.

Do your developers speak Swedish?

We work in English. Many Swedish teams already use English for technical work, and content in Swedish is provided by your organisation or a translator. We build the site so Swedish content displays correctly, including characters such as å, ä and ö in URLs and forms.

How quickly can you start?

After a discovery call, we send a written scope. Once you approve it and the first milestone is paid, we schedule the work and confirm a start date. Urgent fixes on existing sites can often be handled sooner under a short support agreement.

How do we pay?

We quote and invoice in US dollars, with a kronor reference figure if your finance team needs it. Payments are split into milestones defined in the scope, so you pay as work is delivered and approved. Your domain stays in your name and the code is yours once paid.
