Overview

Website Maintenance for organisations in Sweden.

A WordPress site is never finished. Core, themes and plugins release updates constantly, payment providers change their APIs, consent tools need reconfiguring when you add a new script, and new content can quietly break accessibility. Without someone responsible, small problems accumulate until something fails at the worst moment.

Maintenance is part of our Managed Services, from $2,000 per year. We already maintain platforms we built, including Technext and BFI School, so we know what keeping a busy site healthy involves.

In detail

Website Maintenance in Sweden, in detail.

01

Updates tested before they go live

We apply WordPress core, theme and plugin updates on a staging copy first, check key pages and flows, then release to the live site. Where an update changes behaviour, we tell you before it reaches your visitors. Security updates are prioritised and applied quickly. This routine is what keeps a site stable for years instead of needing a rebuild every few.

02

Payment plugins kept current

For Swedish shops, payment plugins carry the most risk. Stripe, Klarna and Swish Handel integrations are updated regularly, and an outdated plugin can break checkout without warning. We monitor these plugins, test a payment in test mode after each update, and watch for failed webhooks so orders and refunds stay in step with what your customers paid. If a provider announces a change to its API or checkout, we plan the update before the deadline rather than after something breaks.

03

Consent and accessibility drift

Sites change over time. A marketing team adds a new tracking script, a new page uses low-contrast text, or an embedded video lacks captions. We review your cookie setup so non-essential scripts still wait for consent in line with PTS expectations, and we spot-check new content against WCAG 2.1 AA. For sellers covered by the Accessibility Act since June 2025, catching drift early is far easier than fixing it after a complaint.

04

Backups, monitoring and incidents

We keep daily backups stored separately from your server, monitor uptime, and scan for malware. If something goes wrong, we restore quickly and explain what happened. Where personal data may have been affected, we give your organisation the facts it needs to decide on a report to IMY, which expects notification within 72 hours of becoming aware of a breach that puts people at risk.

05

Small changes without a new project

Maintenance includes an agreed amount of time for small changes: a new landing page, a form adjustment, an updated price list or a fresh banner. Requests are logged, estimated and completed during the working day. Larger work is scoped separately so the retainer stays predictable. You can see every request, its status and the time used in one shared log, so there is never any doubt about what has been done or what remains in the month's allowance.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Can you maintain a site another agency built?

Yes. We start with an audit of the code, plugins, hosting and backups, then tell you plainly what needs fixing before we take responsibility. Some sites need a clean-up first, which we scope separately. After that, maintenance runs on the same routine as our own builds.

What are your support hours for Sweden?

We work during the Nigerian working day, which matches Swedish time in winter and runs one hour behind in summer. That means requests sent in the morning in Stockholm are picked up the same morning. Urgent incidents such as a site outage are prioritised.

Do you handle GDPR breach reports?

Reporting to IMY is your organisation's decision as data controller. Our role is to investigate quickly, contain the problem and give you a clear account of what data may have been affected and when, so you can make the 72-hour judgement with real facts.

Is hosting included in maintenance?

It can be. Managed Services can include hosting through our partners Cloudways and Hostinger, or we can maintain a site on hosting you already have. Either way, we agree in writing who is responsible for server updates and backups, so nothing falls between two suppliers.

How much does maintenance cost?

Managed Services start from $2,000 per year. The final amount depends on the size of the site, whether it runs a shop, how many changes you expect each month and whether hosting is included. You receive a written scope and an invoice in USD.
