E-learning platforms for Swedish course providers and organisations

We build WordPress learning platforms for training companies, associations, schools and employers in Sweden. Courses, quizzes, certificates and payments sit on a platform you own, without per-learner fees to a SaaS vendor.

Overview

E-learning Platforms for organisations in Sweden.

Hosted course platforms are quick to start but expensive to grow, and they decide how your learner data is stored and where. A WordPress learning management system gives you control over branding, pricing, data location and integrations, with the flexibility to add features as your courses develop.

Our team built BFI School, an online school taking payments in four currencies with certificates and affiliates, and Alvina Schools' virtual learning environment. Learning platforms sit under Development, from $5,000 per project.

In detail

E-learning Platforms in Sweden, in detail.

01

Courses, lessons and progress

We structure courses into modules and lessons with video, documents and interactive elements, and track each learner's progress. Courses can be released on a schedule, unlocked in sequence or opened all at once. Learners see a dashboard of what they have completed and what comes next, and instructors see where groups are getting stuck so they can improve the material.

02

Quizzes, assessments and certificates

Quizzes can be graded automatically or reviewed by an instructor, with pass marks and retakes as you decide. When a learner completes a course, the platform issues a certificate with a unique verification code. For professional training in Sweden where a certificate matters to an employer, verification pages let anyone confirm a certificate is genuine without contacting you. Certificates carry your branding, the course title and completion date, and can be downloaded again from the learner's account at any time.

03

Selling courses in Sweden and beyond

Course sales run through WooCommerce and Stripe. Swedish learners can pay by card, by Swish for one-off purchases, or with Klarna, which on Stripe supports pay later for recurring payments in Sweden as well as one-off orders. For learners elsewhere in Europe, prices can display in their own currency. Company buyers can purchase seats in bulk and assign them to staff, with invoices in a format your finance team accepts.

04

Learner data and young users

A learning platform stores names, emails, progress and sometimes assessment results, all personal data under the GDPR. We keep it on servers in the EU unless you and your adviser agree otherwise, limit instructor access to their own groups, and avoid third-party trackers inside lessons. If your courses are aimed at children, remember that the Swedish Data Protection Act sets 13 as the age at which a child can consent to online services.

05

Accessible learning

Learners with impairments must be able to follow lessons, take quizzes and download certificates. We build to WCAG 2.1 AA as standard: captions on videos you supply, keyboard-friendly quiz controls and readable layouts that work on phones. For public bodies covered by the DOS law, this gives you a sound base for your accessibility statement. Quiz time limits can be extended for learners who need more time, and course materials can be offered as downloadable documents as well as on screen.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Which LMS plugin do you use?

We choose based on your needs: course structure, assessments, group sales and reporting. Established WordPress LMS plugins cover most cases, and we write custom features where they fall short. The recommendation and reasons are set out in your written scope.

Can we sell subscriptions to our course library?

Yes. Subscriptions run through WooCommerce with card payments or Klarna. Swish through Stripe is single-use, so it suits one-off course purchases rather than recurring access. Learners can manage, pause or cancel their subscription from their own account page.

Can courses be offered in Swedish and English?

Yes. The platform interface can run in both languages, and courses can exist in each. Course content in Swedish is created by your instructors or a translator; we build the structure so each learner automatically sees the right language version.

Where is learner data stored?

By default on EU servers through our hosting partners. If your organisation requires storage in Sweden or a particular provider, the hosting choice is agreed with you and your legal adviser before launch. We document the location so your privacy notice can state it accurately.

What does an e-learning platform cost?

Learning platforms start from $5,000 per project under Development. The number of courses to set up, payment models, company sales and integrations shape the final price, which you receive in a written scope before work begins. Payments follow agreed milestones.
