Overview

Web Development for organisations in Sweden.

Off-the-shelf themes are fine until your site has to do something specific: sync with a CRM, take Swish payments for event places, show members their own records or publish structured data from another system. At that point the quality of the development work decides whether the site stays maintainable or becomes fragile.

Development projects with us start from $5,000 per project and are always scoped in writing. Our team in Nigeria has built registration systems, online schools, recruitment portals and ticketing platforms on WordPress, and we bring that experience to Swedish briefs.

In detail

Web Development in Sweden, in detail.

01

Custom themes without page-builder bloat

We build themes on the WordPress block editor with only the code your design needs. That keeps pages light, which matters to Swedish mobile users and to search engines, and it keeps editing predictable for your staff. Each block is accessible to WCAG 2.1 AA, and we test with keyboard and screen reader before release. Themes are version-controlled, so every change can be traced and, if necessary, reversed.

02

Plugins written for your process

When no existing plugin fits, we write one. Typical examples include booking rules for a training provider, a partner portal showing documents per organisation, or an approval workflow for content before publication. We also maintain our own plugins, including emailfooter and the Bizy suite, so we know what long-term plugin care involves. Custom plugins come with documentation and are written to WordPress coding standards so another developer could pick them up.

03

Payments the Swedish way

Development work often includes payments. Through Stripe, Swedish customers can pay with cards, with Swish approved in the app using BankID, or with Klarna's pay later and financing options, all in kronor. Swish through Stripe is single-use, so for memberships or subscriptions we pair cards or Klarna with WooCommerce Subscriptions. We handle webhooks, failed payments and refunds so finance teams see clean records.

04

Data handling that stands up to GDPR

Custom code is where personal data leaks if nobody is careful. We store only the fields you need, restrict who can see them by role, avoid sending personal data to third-party scripts without a basis, and log access where the use case calls for it. If something does go wrong, IMY expects a breach report within 72 hours, and clear data maps make that judgement much faster for your data protection lead.

05

Integrations with the tools you already use

Swedish organisations rarely run a website in isolation. We connect WordPress to CRMs, email marketing platforms, accounting systems and booking tools through their APIs, with error handling and logging so a failed sync is noticed. Where a service is hosted outside the EU, we flag it so your data protection lead can decide whether the transfer is acceptable before we connect anything.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Can you integrate Swish into a custom WordPress project?

Yes. The simplest route is Stripe, which supports Swish for customers in Sweden in kronor. If your organisation already has a Swish Handel agreement with its bank, we can use that instead through a WooCommerce plugin, naming the plugin provider as technical supplier in your bank's portal.

Who owns the code you write?

Your organisation does, once the project is paid. We hand over the theme, any custom plugins and documentation, and the code lives in a repository you can access. Third-party plugins remain under their own licences, which we list in the hand-over.

How do you test before launch?

Every build goes to a staging site where you review it. We test forms, payments in test mode, user roles, accessibility with keyboard and screen reader, and performance on mobile. Only after your sign-off do we deploy to the live site, at a quiet time for Swedish visitors.

Can your team work alongside our in-house developers?

Yes. We often share a repository, agree coding conventions and review each other's pull requests. Because our working day overlaps almost completely with Swedish office hours, collaboration feels like working with a neighbouring team rather than a distant supplier. Shared stand-ups are easy to schedule.

What does custom development cost?

Development starts from $5,000 per project. Complex platforms are often split into phases so you can launch the core features first. Each phase has its own written scope, milestones and USD price, with a kronor reference figure on request.
