Website redesign for US organisations, without losing what works

We redesign American websites on WordPress after a careful audit of what already brings in traffic and leads. Your domain, rankings and useful content are protected while the design, structure and code are rebuilt.

Overview

Website Redesign for organisations in the United States.

Most redesigns start for good reasons: the site looks dated, it is hard to edit, it is slow, or the business has changed. Many end badly because the new site launches with different URLs, missing pages and broken forms, and traffic drops for months. The fix is not to avoid redesigning but to treat the old site as a source of evidence.

Our redesign work begins with an audit of your analytics, search performance, content and accessibility. That tells us which pages to keep, merge or retire, and gives the new design a clear brief based on how US visitors really use your site.

In detail

Website Redesign in the United States, in detail.

01

Audit before any design

We review which pages attract search traffic and links, which convert, and where visitors drop off. We crawl the site to list every URL, check forms and integrations, and run an accessibility scan against WCAG 2.1 AA. We also look at the privacy setup: which tracking scripts run, whether consent is collected where required, and whether the opt-out links your counsel expects are present. The audit becomes a short report with a keep, improve or remove decision for each part of the site.

02

Keeping search visibility through the rebuild

A redesign on the same domain should not cost you rankings. We keep URLs that perform, map every changed URL to its new home with permanent redirects, and carry over titles, descriptions and structured data. Content that ranks is improved rather than rewritten from scratch. After launch we monitor search console data and fix any crawl errors quickly. If you are also changing platform, migration is planned as part of the same project.

03

Fixing accessibility while you redesign

A redesign is the cheapest time to fix accessibility, because templates are being rebuilt anyway. The Department of Justice says the ADA applies to what businesses open to the public offer online, and it points to WCAG for practical guidance. Public bodies must meet WCAG 2.1 AA under Title II, with deadlines now set for 2027 and 2028. We design and build the new templates to that standard and test them by hand before launch.

04

Rebuilding on WordPress your team can run

Many redesigns are prompted by a site nobody wants to edit. We rebuild on a custom block theme with patterns for the layouts your team uses, so marketing staff can create pages without breaking the design. Forms move to tools that integrate with your CRM. Old plugins that duplicate features are removed. The result is faster, easier to maintain and cheaper to host.

05

What a redesign costs

Redesigns follow our strategy and design pricing, from $1,500, with development work from $5,000 where new functionality or a custom theme is involved. The audit shapes the scope, so the written proposal reflects your actual site rather than a generic package. Everything is priced in US dollars and invoiced against milestones. If the audit shows that a lighter refresh would deliver most of the value, we will recommend that instead of a full rebuild and price it accordingly.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is the average cost of a website redesign?

Averages hide the real drivers: number of templates, content work, functionality and migration. Our redesigns start from $1,500 for strategy and design, with development from $5,000 where a custom theme or new features are needed. The audit lets us give you a firm figure in a written scope.

Will we lose our Google rankings?

Not if the redesign is planned properly. We keep URLs that perform, redirect any that change, carry over metadata and monitor search data after launch. Short fluctuations can happen, but a well-managed redesign on the same domain should protect your visibility.

Can you redesign without changing our domain or hosting?

Yes. We build the new site on staging and switch it in place on your existing domain. If your current host is a problem, we can move hosting as part of the project, or leave it as it is if it works well.

Can the redesign fix our accessibility problems?

Yes, and it is the most efficient time to do it. We audit the current site, then design and build new templates to WCAG 2.1 AA and test them by hand. We document what we checked, though we do not provide legal certification.

How long does the redesign process take?

It depends on the size of the site and how quickly content and feedback come together. We set a timetable in the written proposal after the audit, with review points timed for your mornings in the US. Larger sites with many templates or a platform change take longer than a focused marketing site.
