Website design for US organisations, built on WordPress

We design WordPress websites that American visitors can use easily and act on. Accessibility, privacy choices and fast mobile pages are part of the design brief from day one, not extras.

Overview

Website Design for organisations in the United States.

US visitors are impatient and comparison-minded. They arrive from search or an ad, scan for proof that you can solve their problem, and leave if the next step is not obvious. Good website design in the USA is less about decoration than about removing doubt: clear positioning, evidence, pricing cues where they help, and a contact or checkout path that works on a phone.

Our design work starts with your customers and your sales process. We map what different visitors need to decide, then design pages that answer those questions in order. You review real layouts on a WordPress staging site, so what you approve is what goes live.

In detail

Website Design in the United States, in detail.

01

Design that meets WCAG from the first wireframe

Accessibility is cheapest when it is a design decision. We choose colour pairs that pass WCAG contrast ratios, set a logical heading order, size tap targets for thumbs, and make focus states visible for keyboard users. Forms get real labels and helpful error messages. Video gets captions. The Department of Justice points to WCAG as practical guidance for ADA website accessibility, so designing to WCAG 2.1 AA means your developers are not undoing the design later to fix it.

02

Privacy choices that look like part of the site

If your business falls under the CCPA and sells or shares personal information, the site usually needs a clear opt-out link such as "Your Privacy Choices", and it must respect signals like Global Privacy Control. Other states have similar rules. We design the footer link, the consent banner and the preference screens so they sit naturally in your brand rather than as an afterthought, and so declining is as easy as accepting. Your counsel decides which laws apply; we make the design ready for them.

03

Messaging for a crowded American market

In most US sectors you are not the only option, so the homepage has to say quickly who you serve and why you are different. We work with you on a short positioning statement, a page hierarchy built around buyer questions, and calls to action that match the decision stage: book a call, request a quote, start a trial or buy. Case studies, testimonials and credentials are placed where hesitant visitors look, near forms and pricing, not hidden on an About page.

04

Reviewing designs across a five-hour gap

Our team works five to six hours ahead of US Eastern Time, which suits design reviews well. We share layouts on staging before your day starts, you comment in a shared board whenever it suits you, and we walk through feedback on a call that falls in your morning. West Coast clients get the same rhythm with an early call. Design rounds are agreed in the written scope, so you know how many revisions are included.

05

From discovery to a site your team can run

We begin with discovery, then a sitemap and content plan, wireframes and full designs built as WordPress templates. Once approved, we connect forms to your email or CRM, add analytics behind consent where required, test accessibility and speed, and train your editors. Strategy and design projects start from $1,500, priced in US dollars and scoped in writing. Your team owns every file and account from the first day.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do you design for US audiences specifically?

Yes. We design around the expectations of American visitors: quick positioning, visible proof, card and wallet checkouts, privacy choices and accessible layouts. We also write in US English on your site if you prefer it. Our BFI School work for BFI Insights LLC was built for a US company selling to an international audience.

Will the design meet ADA website accessibility expectations?

We design and build to WCAG 2.1 AA, the standard the Department of Justice refers to as helpful guidance, and we test with tools and by hand. We cannot certify legal compliance, but we document what we checked and make sure the design does not create barriers for keyboard, screen reader or low-vision users.

Can you work with our existing brand guidelines?

Yes. Most US clients come with a logo, colours and fonts. We test your palette for contrast early and suggest accessible variations where needed, so the brand stays recognisable without failing WCAG. If you do not have guidelines, we create a light style guide as part of the project.

How many design revisions are included?

The number of rounds is set in your written scope before work starts, so there are no surprises. We keep rounds focused by sharing designs as working pages on staging, which tends to reduce back-and-forth because you see real content on real devices.

What does website design cost with you?

Strategy and design projects start from $1,500, priced and invoiced in US dollars. The final figure depends on the number of page types, content work and any integrations, and it is confirmed in a written proposal before anything begins.
