Overview

SEO Services for organisations in Tanzania.

Plenty of firms selling SEO in Tanzania promise rankings. We do not, because nobody can guarantee them honestly. What we can do is remove the technical reasons a site is held back, so the content your team writes has a fair chance of being found.

Our SEO work sits within Managed Services, which start from $2,000 per year, or can be scoped as a one-off technical project.

In detail

SEO Services in Tanzania, in detail.

01

Speed for visitors on mobile data

Mobile broadband accounts for most internet subscriptions in Tanzania, and search engines measure how pages perform on phones. We work through Core Web Vitals: image sizes and formats, script loading, server caching and layout stability. A faster page helps rankings a little and helps visitors a lot, especially those on a modest bundle or a weak signal outside the main cities.

02

Getting Kiswahili and English indexed correctly

Bilingual sites often confuse search engines: the wrong language appears in results, or one version is treated as a duplicate. We set language tags and alternate links properly, give each version its own address and sitemap entries, and check in Search Console that both are indexed. That way someone searching in Kiswahili finds your Kiswahili page. Hreflang mistakes are among the most common problems we find on Tanzanian bilingual sites, and they are usually quick to fix.

03

Structure and internal linking

We review your menus, page hierarchy and internal links so important pages are reachable in a few clicks and clearly grouped by topic. We fix broken links, redirect chains and orphaned pages, and add structured data so search engines understand your organisation, services, events or courses. For tourism, education and service businesses, structured data can also help listings show useful details such as events, courses or opening hours directly in results.

04

Visibility in AI search

More people now ask AI assistants rather than scroll search results. Those tools rely on pages they can read and trust. We make sure your key facts, such as services, locations, prices where you publish them and contact details, are stated plainly, consistently and in structured data, so they can be quoted accurately. We also check that your organisation's name, address and services match across your site and public profiles.

05

Where our work stops

Content strategy, writing blog posts, social media and paid campaigns stay with your marketing team or agency. We give them a technically sound site, clear reports on what search data shows, and advice on structure when they plan new sections. Analytics and tracking are set up with the consent the Personal Data Protection Act, 2022 expects for identifying cookies. Our reports are written for non-specialists.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Can you guarantee first page rankings in Tanzania?

No, and you should be wary of anyone who does. Rankings depend on competition, content and many signals outside anyone's control. We fix the technical foundations and report honestly on what changes. You will see the fixes we made and the data before and after, so progress is measured rather than claimed.

Do you write content or run ads?

No. Content, campaigns and social media stay with your marketing team. We make sure the site supports their work technically and tell them what the search data shows. If they work with an outside agency, we are happy to brief that agency directly.

Does a .tz domain help with local search?

A country domain is one signal that your site is aimed at Tanzanian visitors. It is not decisive on its own, but combined with local content, contact details and structured data it helps make your audience clear. Businesses selling mainly abroad may prefer a .com, and we can advise on which suits your audience.

Do analytics need cookie consent in Tanzania?

DLA Piper's summary of the Personal Data Protection Act, 2022 says cookies and trackers that can identify a person need consent unless the law allows otherwise. We set up analytics with a consent banner and settings your adviser can review. Analytics then only records visitors who agree, which keeps your reports honest about what they measure.

What does technical SEO cost?

It is included in Managed Services, from $2,000 per year, or can be scoped as a one-off audit and fix project. The price depends on the size and condition of the site. After an audit you receive a prioritised list, so you can decide which fixes to fund first.
