School websites for Canadian schools, built on WordPress

We build school websites that help families find what they need, from admissions and calendars to fee payments and parent updates. Student information is handled with the care Canadian privacy rules expect.

Overview

School Websites for organisations in Canada.

A school website serves several audiences at once: prospective families comparing schools, current parents checking the calendar, students looking for resources and staff publishing news. Each needs a clear route, on a phone, often in a hurry.

We work mainly with independent schools, private academies, tutoring centres and education organisations across Canada. Public school boards have their own procurement and platforms, but the same principles of clarity, accessibility and privacy apply.

In detail

School Websites in Canada, in detail.

01

Admissions that convert enquiries

Prospective families want to know about programmes, fees, the application process and how to visit. We design admissions pages around those questions, add online enquiry and application forms, and route submissions to the right staff. Forms collect only what the admissions office needs at each stage, which keeps data handling simpler and respects PIPEDA's expectation of meaningful consent. Enquiry data can feed a simple admissions dashboard.

02

News, calendars and parent communication

We set up news, events and term calendars that staff can update without help, with filters by grade or campus. Parent areas can hold handbooks, forms and announcements behind a login. If you send newsletters, sign-up forms keep consent clear so commercial messages stay within CASL, while routine school notices are handled through the channels you already use. Staff get short guides for each task.

03

Fees and payments

Schools increasingly take deposits, fees and event payments online. We integrate Stripe, PayPal or Moneris for card payments, and Stripe's pre-authorised debit for instalments paid from Canadian bank accounts, with a clear mandate for parents to accept. Receipts are generated automatically, and the bursar can see payments in one place. Payment pages carry the school's own branding throughout. Failed payments are flagged to the office.

04

Protecting student information

School sites handle information about children, so we keep it out of public pages, restrict staff access by role, and avoid collecting more than needed. Photos and names are published only with the consent process your school uses. Private schools in Quebec, Alberta and British Columbia fall under provincial privacy laws, so we work with your policies and adviser on what is collected and where it is stored, including Canadian hosting where required.

05

Accessible and bilingual

Families include people with disabilities, and Ontario schools with 50 or more employees have WCAG 2.0 AA duties under the AODA. WCAG 2.1 AA is our default build standard. For French immersion programmes or Quebec schools, we set up English and French versions with content your school provides or approves. Projects start from $1,500 for Strategy & Design and $5,000 for Development, in US dollars.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do you build websites for public school boards?

Our focus is independent schools, private academies and education organisations. Public boards usually have their own procurement and platforms. If your board runs a formal process and WordPress fits, we are glad to respond to it. We would explain plainly how our remote team works with your staff.

Can parents pay school fees through the website?

Yes. We integrate card payments through Stripe, PayPal or Moneris, and pre-authorised debit through Stripe for instalments. Parents receive automatic receipts, and your finance team can see payments in one place. Instalment plans can run through Stripe's pre-authorised debit, with parents accepting a clear mandate first.

How do you protect student data?

We keep student information off public pages, restrict access by role, collect only what is needed and follow your school's consent process for photos and names. Hosting location is agreed with you, including Canadian data centres where your policies require it.

Can the website be in English and French?

Yes. We build the bilingual structure and load content your school provides or approves. We do not write French copy ourselves, but we check every template in both languages. Translated pages are linked so families can switch language on any page, and menus and forms follow the chosen language.

How long does a school website take?

It depends on the number of sections, integrations and languages. Many schools aim to launch before an admissions season or a new term, so we plan milestones backwards from that date in the written scope. We agree review dates with your staff at the start.
