Design it once
Pick one of ten layouts and a colour theme, add your logo and company details, and write a legal footer that employees cannot change. Light and dark colours are checked for you.
Design one professional signature for your company. Every employee adds their own details and installs it in the mail app they already use: Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail and 13 more.
Version 1.3.0 · GPL-2.0-or-later · WordPress 6.4+ · PHP 7.4+
Most signatures drift: old logos, missing numbers, a different font for every person. emailfooter keeps the design in one place and lets each person fill in only their own details.
Pick one of ten layouts and a colour theme, add your logo and company details, and write a legal footer that employees cannot change. Light and dark colours are checked for you.
Each person sets their name, title, phone and photo with a live preview, copies the signature, and follows numbered steps for their own mail app. No HTML to write.
Turn on Agency mode to look after several client companies from one install, with your own logo, colours and name on the app and its emails.
How it works
Most teams are set up in an afternoon. Each person then needs a couple of minutes.
Get the latest zip from GitHub. It is one file, about 750 KB, with no sign-up and no licence key.
In WordPress go to Plugins, Add New, Upload Plugin, choose the zip and activate it. A short setup guide opens on its own and creates your company.
Add the logo, address and legal footer, choose a layout and colours, then invite people. Set up outgoing email under Settings so invitations are emailed.
Each person checks the preview in light and dark mode, copies the signature and follows the steps for their mail app. You can see who has installed it.
The signature is built from simple tables and inline styles, the kind of HTML mail apps keep. Each app has its own step-by-step guide inside the plugin.
emailfooter is released under the GPL. There are no paid tiers, no licence keys and no limits on companies or people. You run it on your own WordPress site and pay only for your own hosting, domain and email delivery.
The plugin does not contact WPFlat or anyone else. It does not count installs, track anyone or check for a licence. The only network traffic it creates is the email server you set up yourself.
The source, the releases and the issue tracker are on GitHub. To update, download the newest zip from the releases page and upload it over the old one. Your companies and people stay where they are.
Yes. It is open source under the GPL, with no paid version, no licence key and no limit on people or companies. You pay for the things any website needs: hosting, a domain and a way to send email.
WordPress 6.4 or newer, PHP 7.4 or newer and HTTPS. It runs on a single-site install (multisite networks are not supported yet). Add an SMTP server in the plugin settings so invitations and password resets arrive.
Yes. The signature uses simple tables and inline styles, and each person gets steps for their own app, including Gmail, Outlook on the web and desktop, and Apple Mail. A signature lives in each mail app, so it also has to be set up on a phone.
No. Since version 1.3.0 the plugin makes no requests to WPFlat or anyone else for tracking, licensing or updates. Versions 1.2.x had an optional install check-in, and updating removes it.
Download the new zip from the GitHub releases page. In WordPress go to Plugins, Add New, Upload Plugin, choose the zip and replace the current version. Your data lives in your own database and is not touched.
Yes. If you would rather not run it yourself, we can install it, host it and look after it for you. Tell us about your team on the contact page.
Download the plugin, upload it to your WordPress site and have your first signature designed before lunch.
